#2 STUDY
View the Online Presentation at your leisure, memorize the Study Guide, take the practice tests (optional), and read the ServSafe textbook (optional but strongly recommended especially for first time test takers).
#3 TEST
Show up on time with your Picture ID & #2 Pencil on your testing date.
How do I sign up for a testing spot?
Your spot will be secured upon payment which can be done using a credit card on this site.

What does the Online Presentation include?
If you have had the In Class program through Certification Support Source with Teri Inverso in the past you will find the Online Presentation to be very similar. It will contain a narrated version by Teri. The presentation includes helpful illustrations that can make learning easy. It can be paused, reversed, and can be viewed as many times as necessary while you have access to it. You will have access to it for one month or until your testing date- whichever occurs first. The entire presentation lasts just over an hour if run continually from start to finish without any pauses.
Anyone that has taken the class in the past should view the Online Presentation to brush upon past information, as well as, learn important NEW updates.
The Online Presentation also includes a new updated and enhanced Study Guide, a fundamental concept practice test, a ServSafe compressive practice test, and the required proctored manager testing for certification along with the scantron answer sheet needed to record test answers.
Do I need to buy a book?
Purchasing a book is optional. It is recommended that you purchase a book if you are taking the test for the first time or if you have taken the test in the past and received a score that was low or very close to the 75% needed to pass.
What if I struggle, taking tests?
Allocate sufficient time to studying.
PURCHASE THE BOOK (or borrow someones)and dedicate at least 10 separate studying sessions for each of the 10 chapters.
Plan additional time to study and quiz yourself on the Study Guide and to view the Online Presentation.
Be sure to MEMORIZE ALL OF THE BOLD TERMS ON THE STUDY GUIDE!!! Consider using flash cards.
Only use the practice questions as a gauge for your overall understanding. The test questions can be different and/or worded very differently.
What do I need to view the Online Presentation?
A free Gmail account ending in @gmail.com is required for the Online Presentation. If you do not have Gmail, signing up is free, quick, and easy.
Simply type in "new gmail sign up" in your internet browser or search engine (e.g. google) and follow the link and corresponding steps (or go to https://www.google.com/gmail/about/ and click "create account"). You will be asked to pick your new email address and pick a password.
It is that easy! This does not mean that you will lose your old email. It will not affect your current email.
How will I get the Online Presentation?
It will be sent to you in an email (Gmail) that you will simply click on to begin to play. The Online Presentation will come to you within 3 days of receipt of you payment. You will have access to the presentation for one month or until your testing date- whichever occurs first.
When & where do I take the test?
You will be able to schedule your test on the date and at the locations listed below. It is important to email sstinverso@gmail.com requesting the date that you prefer prior to making your payment to be sure there is a spot available. Upon payment your spot will be secured. (Spots are very limited due to COVID-19.) It is important to arrive on time for testing. Due to ServSafe requirements, if you arrive late you will not be able to take the test. Also, remember to bring your picture ID, your COVID-19 facemask, and a #2 pencil to be eligible to take the exam.
What is the cost?
The Online Presentation including the new enhanced Study Guide, fundamental concept practice test, ServSafe comprehensive practice test, scantron answer sheet needed to record test answers, and required proctor testing for certification is $150. (If you decide to include the 7th edition ServSafe Manager textbook, in addition to the above, the cost is $185.)
How long does the testing take?
After filling out the needed paperwork required by ServSafe the testing takes an average of 30 minutes to 1 hour and 15 minutes from start to finish. You are allowed 2 hours maximum time. You will find that 2 hours is more than enough time to take the test. You are encouraged to relax and take your time taking the test regardless of how quickly others may finish.
